Alongside a very warm welcome, tea and home baked cake, I have lots of new work to show you:

Meet Pebble Lamp!… Isn’t she just a delight?

I’ve been feeling the need to add a table lamp somewhere in the collection for some time and this simple, sweet shape emerged quite naturally. I’ve commissioned a laminated bent ply base and the porcelain hovers beautifully translucent above the table, offering a warm light all around.

This is the very first. I keep it close to me, in my studio on my desk. But I’d love to know where you would have it?

Also, in the Pebble collection, my new semi flush ceiling light is displayed with the Pebble wall lights in the garden room. I’m excited to be showing at this time of year as the natural light, or lack of it, works perfectly for displaying lighting. Later in the afternoon this room is cosy, I have warm bulbs in this piece, so it really is striking! The Pebble wall lights are also displayed, with slightly cooler bulbs, so you can compare the light.

The unique thing about opening up my studio is I can show my work in progress too. I’m being brave and I’m also releasing my Float concept installation this weekend!

This idea has been percolating for a long time with the odd sketch and ideas noted in my notebook. The models have come out of my bottom drawer and I’ve been playing with some scale models. The larger format porcelain is typically taking some time to master. And its given me some other ideas about how this piece could work. This self-commissioned piece is very much work in progress…

If you are looking for something new and would like to share in the vision for this piece please ask me about it. There’s lots of directions I’m think about for Float at the moment, from multi piece pendant to custom installation flowing through your space!

I’m super excited to be opening my studio and I’m looking forward to sharing my work and ideas.

I’m thrilled to offer a 10% discount on all commissions placed over the duration of the open studios.
